MARGARET MILLS has performed in over thirty productions with Melbourne Theatre Company, The Malthouse, La Mama, Belvoir St, Sydney Theatre Company, Black Sequin Productions, Whistling in the Theatre and Ranters Theatre with such writers and directors as Jenny Kemp, Neil Armfield, Roger Hodgman, Marguerite Duras, Andrew Bovell, Daniel Keene, Raimondo and Adriano Cortese, Melissa Reeves, Roz Horin, Kim Durban, Tom Gutteridge, and Noelle Janaczewska. Credits include The Doll’s House, A Cheery Soul (Green Room Award - Best Supporting Female Performer), History of Water, Still Angela, The Black Sequin Dress, Speaking in Tongues (Green Room Award nomination - Best Female Performer) and Jandamarra. She has co-written and produced several plays with Melissa Reeves and Maude Davey, and with Whistling in the Theatre. Her film work includes The Golden Braid (Paul Cox), Bachelor Girl (Rivka Hartman) and the international award winning short film The Other Days of Ruby Rae. (David Carlin) She teaches places, especially at Federation University, Ballarat. Margaret's performance as The Angel in Angels in America marks a second coming of sorts, having played the role in the Australian premiere for the MTC.
