JOANNA PIDCOCK is a young director, dramaturg, and researcher. She has created award winning work for FLW Theatre, Tallulah Theatre, and Union House Theatre, and independent companies in Edinburgh. In 2015, she completed a directorial secondment with Bell Shakespeare in Sydney, working with Peter Evans on As You Like It. In addition to her theatrical work, Joanna volunteers extensively in the arts, with a particular focus on encouraging youth participation and access. She has a BA from the University of Melbourne with majors in English and Theatre Studies and Creative Writing, a Diploma of Languages in French, and in 2016 completed a first-class Honours thesis in English and Theatre Studies, developing research methodologies surrounding audience response and the theatrical event.
